Are those the "trade" talks that cover some 30 others matters? Something you accused the EU of as being out of order? Wow bread, you sure are a man of principles.

From your link:

The document also reveals the two states carried out extensive discussions encompassing nearly 30 different areas.
For example, the negotiators discussed: telecoms, financial services, market access for goods and the environment.

The US is our closest ally and member of 5 eyes as we are. Of course we would talk about other areas such as security etc. Why wouldn't we ?

Discussions were about trade and other things - with the EU its everything but trade.

You sound very upset

Trade negotiations with the usa were declared obsolete and irrelevant on 15 april 2019 by the european commission.
Two days later a british dog was jumping up and down before trump, wagging his little tail. And trump smiled benevolently.

Grow up

You prove over and over again how pointless it is for anyone to have a meaningful discussion with you.

Junket must be rubbing his hands with glee (not soap) having just escaped the EU with whatever massive pension he now enjoys.

On the other hand (or hands) Barnier may be beginning to realise how much of a stalking horse he now is!

They were flying - until Boris came along!

Now Boris needs to put in the ear plugs - you won't believe me but there are MPs (and media folk) who still believe Brexit can be pushed back and back and back and back.

Four Years Now?

Yep

There are letters from opposition MPs to Barnier urging him to extend the transition because of COVID-19. Its quite disgusting how the pro-eu, knuckle dragging head bangers are trying to drag their own country into a failing socialist ideological block.

They still will not listen to their constituents, even after 4 years of them failing time and time again.

They are knocking on the wrong door. The only one who can apply for an extension is boris. And he has limited his own freedom to govern.

Having read most of the posts I think we are in a stronger position now than ever before. We have freedom to pick and choose who we trade with, those in the EU don't

Do you believe that yourself?
France airbus chose to do this deal with china. Being in the EU does not prevent members from doing profitable deals. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-f...-idUSKCN1R61Y0

The tarrifs applied would be on Chinas side - not the EU.
