Re: What Fashion Item Do You Miss?

I've thought long and hard and I think it's my denim dungarees.
There must be an age limit on dungarees mustn't there?
Please advise if you think otherwise as I'd buy more in a shot!

My beloved pair I wore from about 17 to 23 y o ish?
I wore them mostly with brown cowboy boots (under the leg of the dungarees) and vest tops or fluffy mohair jumpers, depending on the weather. I loved them. They faded eventually and frayed at the hem and knees but I wore them for as long as I could.
I drew the line at chequered shirts and a cowboy hat!

...and chewing straw!!!

Re: What Fashion Item Do You Miss?

I always wanted some dungarees as an adult Rhian but never got around to buying any. They were so trendy in the 80s - was it Bananarama wearing them? At the time they were not associated with lesbians. But these days they seem to have a stereotype attached. Both lesbians and straight women probably don't want to be pigeonholed so they have fallen off the fashion wagon.

I'd never heard of them Art
Some of the cowboy boots are a bit too pointy and curly-toed for me.

I think my boots were more like biker boots thinking back..

I'll see if I can find a pic of something similar...

Ah.. here we are a bit like these... I don't think they had the straps though

Rhian, They look nice.
I have looked at R.Soles.com and the Cowgirl and Cowboy Boots all seem to be pointy toed.
The biker boots for men are more round toed but l suppose they’d look silly with pointy toes!!

Ooooh yes Rhian! The old Dunga's! I loved mine too.
Years I had them.
The only thing I didn't like about them was when I needed the loo. I can't tell you the number of times the shoulder straps hung down aiming for the water in the bowl.
They never succeeded though

Re: What Fashion Item Do You Miss?

We fashionistas have to be ready for all seasons.

I am getting ready for winter, a friend of mine knitted be some very fashionable socks to wear with my stylish footwear.

It saves scrunching up ordinary socks when one is out on those cold winter days.
