Thousands rally across Russia to call for Navalny's release
This is certainly turning into quite the year and we are only three weeks into it. This latest drama unfolding on our screens could have been predicted the minute Navalny decided to return to Russia. Do you think that this will topple Putin from power? He certainly seems to have a great deal of support.Some un-precedented scenes in Moscow today with protestors pelting police with snowballs.

No doubt somebody will have a pile to say about this one as in other threads..But like Trump, he doesn't seem to have any idea about body language or the intuition of others. He denies everything, makes himself about to be a good bloke and says "Moi!?"..But the sniggers and the ridiculous strutting; no shirt posing and second rate Judo demonstrations give him away. He's just a narcissistic little thug. A gangster . Just like Trump. THese guys are hard to dislodge. ONe man will have little hope of doing that. But never say never. THey did it with Marcos. They did it with Pinochet. They did it with Apartheid. Xi?.. much more complicated.

Putin served his purpose and has served Mother Russia very well especially confronting and defeating the attacks from Islamists. Now it's time for a new leader with a different skill set and different objectives just as long as the continued pogrom against mohammadans doesn't change. Society across the Russian Federation has changed and matured, and IMO The Grey Cardinal has been a wonderful leader - for yesterday.24-01-2021, 02:22 PM

I noticed t hat the media made sure we all saw Navalny's missus was shown being bundled into the back of a police van during the Moscow demo.And is it just me or did the Russian police/security forces look like extras from a Star Wars movie?
