Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

I feel like making something simple and comforting. So, it's going to be Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans cooked with bacon.

Have chunk of beef cooking in the slow cooker at the moment - will peel, chop and roast suitable veg to accompany the joint shortly.

Hi

Sabrina was round cleaning this morning, her brother is staying with me, so she has made Zac and Derek and myself breadcrumbed stuffed chicken with stuffed cabbage rolls for our meal today, with a tomato and bell pepper sauce.

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

with the remains of the beef joint I cooked on Sunday, yesterday I chopped it up, placed it in my cauldron together with parsnips, carrots, lentils, leeks, swede, celeriac sweet potatoes and butternut squash - 2 litres of gravy and some curry powder and made a stew. After it was cooking for a while I made some suet dumplings to add to it too. There's enough in the cauldron for me to have another large helping today and may finish it up tomorrow.
