If it's a city break you're after Dublin is great, Edinburgh, Chester...Liverpool and see the terracotta army!

Re: Half term holidays

My OH and I are visiting Inverness and Crieff next week - the Loch Ness monster, Culloden battlefield and taking in some of the Outlander sites. Thd only thing is that this week sees the start of the October school holiday week here in Scotland so the prices invariably rise. We did spend an enjoyable couple of days in Liverpool recently, if that is more convenient for you?

No wonder Bram Stoker was inspired
I'd love to go back there
There you go then..why not go to Whitby?..fish n chips in the magpie restaurant, stroll along the pier, and explore the town, it’s said that bram stoker took inspiration from there when writing Dracula, take the steam train to Pickering, ( lovely market town) and explore “heartbeat” country as well..

I go there at least once a year

Dublin sounds good though

I loved Dublin, you could go to Liverpool first.

Staying in the uk, (sort of) why not investigate Belfast. Lots to do and see there - the Titanic Centre is a must!!!, loads of pubs and restaurants (I can recommend a couple for you if you like)..

Whitby! That's where I'd choose if I was going on a short break! Take photos!

Re: Half term holidays

I recently went to Stratford on Avon. It's a lovely town - it absolutely captivated me.

EDIT: Yes I agree with the ones who suggested Dublin. I loved it there.

As wonderful as it is... I see it a lot!

I was thinking more city/town..
Join Meghan and Harry when they visit Dubbo. Hopefully the weather will have warmed up a bit by then and the Western Plains Zoo is always worth a visit.
