ResurgenceDo you try to do it all?
Do you ever have the gall,
To admit you’re only human,
Not some kind of Super Woman?
Refuse to give yourself a break?
Out to work, still dinner to make.....
House to clean, shopping to buy,
No time for a chat, you have to fly,
Where is that playful, carefree smile,
That used to charm and beguile?
Replaced by a frown, a careworn look,
As life’s burdens upon your shoulders took,
Weighed down by perceived responsibility,
You found the World and lost the “Me”,
To rest is not idle, to reflect, not an indulgence,
Your soul and your self will make a resurgence,
To open your eyes, to think and to see,
To go forward now – be all you can be.

Though we are drawn apart,
My soul cries out, to banish doubt,
Be still my beating heart,
Through tides that flow, fall and rise,
Snowy peaks that touch the skies,
As heaven’s cloths grow dark and light,
As stars illuminate the night,
My love, though light is gone from your eyes,
Our entwined souls can never die....
As time and tide flow in eternity,
Unending... together we will be,
And I will love you still, My Love,
No veil shall keep us apart,
I feel your presence every day,
In my soul and in my heart,
I smile with joy, I shed a tear,
We two, together, always near,
And I will love you....

un cagedI’m not afraid to die - death is inevitable,
I’m not afraid to live – life is incredible,
A cage is what I fear, the door locked tight,
Imprisoned by those, who think they have the right,
To impose their morality, prohibit thoughts and deeds,
Shaping a world, to fit specific needs,
I have no respect, nor ear, for their “authority,”
I refuse to waste my time on senseless mediocrity,
I will wake with the dawn, breath in another day,
Spread my wings, take flight, come what may,
Express my thoughts and feelings, open my eyes,
Cherish my loves with glee and wondrous sighs,
Marvel at all I am, all that I wish to be,
Dance with a song in my heart from here to eternity,
Some day I will die – death is inevitable,
But until that day, I’ll live – life is incredible.
