Are More People Not Pronouncing The "th" Sound in Words?

In recent times I seem to have noticed a lot more footballers, managers and pundits doing this than ever before. Even a man doing a Panorama documentary, and another man the week before, doing one for Ch4, was doing it. Probably not so much a racial thing in their case as an "educational deficiency".

People and the media make fun of those who can't pronounce their "Rs" like Jonathan Woss and before him Woy Jenkins - even though they have spent a life time trying to do so.

Yet those who don't even try to pronounce words properly and say, fick, fin, frough, free instead of thick, thin, through and three don't get the piddle taken out of them.
Even though football "culture" is a lot to do with piss taking.

So, my two questions are, is it on the increase and do we have any members who do this?
