Congratulations go to Coronation Street for the most ridiculous and unlikely storylines that have ever been dared to be shown on British Television......There are so many characters visiting hospital it should be renamed Midsomer Murders meets Holby City....

I've been getting a bit fed up with CS since Phelan got killed off (he was an ace villian) but I really did enjoy watching the omnibus this weekend.

Of the 'three witches', I'd say she's more like Martha Longhurst.
Ena Sharples was the leader, of course, and no-one - but no-one - argued with her.
Minnie Caldwell was the really nice quiet one (who had a cat - Bobby).
Martha Longhurst was the really cutting one.

The old black and white Coronation Street never seemed to need any of that, and had far fewer characters who each played a real part in the storylines.

In reality the script writers have done every story line there is to be done to death and in lots of cases repeated several times over the years leaving Corrie with some very weak stories now and some very boring characterswho need a blooming good shove out the door and some fresh blood brought in.
