I think it is to be called "Butterfly".

It's about a transgender child at school!

Sorry if it offends, but I'm getting seriously fed up with so much of this rammed down our throats now.
You didn't offend me and I won't be watching.

Nobody has to watch it if they don't want to.

It could be a good drama. I'll watch the first episode & decide.

H

Life can be cruel.

We are all very sympathetic to babies which do not develop normally in the womb and who are born with physical defects.

Chemistry is chemistry. some are born with non visible issues, such as hormone differences.

Are they any less worthy of our sympathy and support?

Absolutely right swims.
Very well put.

Nothing is being rammed down anyone's throat.

No, I didn't mean the drama is being "rammed down our throats" at all. It has not even started.

But I am a bit fed up with the big influx of same sex couples snogging their faces off on telly. There seems to be more same sex people featured snogging than heterosexual couples now. Can this be true even?

According to telly, the majority of people have hormone problems. If that is truly so, then why?
THAT is what needs to be studied IMO.

Then there is the push for same sex dancers on Strictly, and more and more same sex 'celeb' tv presenters, as well as continuing stories in newsapers about sportsmen/referees etc.
And that is before this drama even. And no doubt there will be more.

Maybe the drama will be very good, who knows, but I do feel it is being pushed too hard of late, and as with any other topic, if it is over publicised we get fed up with hearing it. Brexit is a good example!

(Or aren't I allowed to say that either)?

I get your point Mups.

Personally I don't care what people do, it's up to them to decide who or what they want to be but is it really entertainment? I get the feeling that these programmes are on because TV companies like to get on the band waggon.

Did anyone else notice that there was indeed a same sex dance routine on Scripted come dancing on Saturday? Time to stop watching I think.

I agree Dongle.
And like I said, if this is 'hormone problem' is so widespread now I would want to know why this is.

Re: Transgender Drama

I think it would be beneficial to explore these issues as documentaries rather than "reality" shows.

People are curious about things and have a need to learn so they can understand .. documentary programming works well to fill those needs.

"Reality" shows are rubbish and mostly over exaggerated as well as scripted ... you never get true reality from that type of program.
