I don't think they can take the storyline much further, especially with the capture of Negan. Although I'm also a fan, I feel that the programme has run it,s course, after quite a few series, and should have ended the last time.

Re: The Walking Dead is back ...

Jeffrey Dean Morgan said he wanted to play Negan exactly how he was in the comics. To be honest, I don't t think that was a good idea because he quickly became boring. I thought Simon Oggs' character was far more interesting. Ridiculous too that Negan is still alive.

I agree that there are times when the show really bombs but there are other times when I think it's really good. I will be sorry to see it come to an end but I know a lot of people have stopped watching it.

I always thought we were following Rick's story so it seems odd that it will continue on after Rick has left.

Another fan here....I didn't see the episode last night I will have to watch it on catch up.

I have a feeling it might have run it's course but I have enjoyed the series overall..I hope they include Daryl more in this series I like the Negan character but not at the expense of the original ones.

Interesting that Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) is from Hull.

Re: The Walking Dead is back ...

Thank goodness we didn't put any spoilers!

Daryl was one of my favourites. He had a sad back story but he found his place within the group and was always there when needed but, over time, he has aged a good 25 years and does little more than grunt. I don't know if that is the script or whether he is bored with the show now. To be honest, I don't think his character is strong enough to carry the group, he is a follower, not a leader.

I liked Abraham and think it was a mistake to kill him off. He would have been a contender for leader I think. Definitely Shane could have taken the role.
