BBC text speak

Why, oh why has the BBC changed 'Wimbledon Today' to 'Wimbledon2day'?? Drives me bonkers!!

I never watch the tennis so I didn't notice it Ania, but I have to say I am surprised at the all correct and above board BBC letting that loose on the public.

Slightly changing the name of the programme is nothing compared to the fact that you get to see very little of the games that where played that day.

So so annoying

I cant say that I had noticed the change..but yes I do wish they could just use the proper words and not fill in with numbers like this...is it just because they think its the "modern" way do you think? a fad maybe ...hopefully it might pass when we realise how silly it has all become.

The biggest error was replacing John Inverdale with Clare Balding, I read one figure suggesting 95% of viewers want Inverdale back and quotes saying that the new format is boring.

I can do Mr Inverdale and his sometime lapses; The crowd are silent,she has an amazing serve,she is holding a new ball and bouncing it between her legs.
