RIP Omar Sharif. Loved you in Lawrence of Arabia. When you
first see him in the distance riding a camel. He gets closer in
the mirage and then they give a close up of his eyes and it
just melted me
He died of a heart attack in the end but its better than dementia
and the lingering. Bless you lad you were a GREAT of the films.

I remember we had a thread about him being ill with Alzheimers back in May, but I didn't know the poor man had now died.
How sad, I used to like him - loved his eyes.

He apparently had degrees in Mathematics and Physics and spoke English, Arabic, Spanish, Greek and French.
Obviously no dill.

I think sometimes non- perfect teeth can add to the attraction, less fake than pearly white smiles you get with some actors. Love Terry Thomas' gap in his teeth, made him a better cad!

Omar Shariff died this afternoon from a heart attack, he was 83 and been in many films,I liked him

God rest his soul, I enjoyed his performances in the films. The wife idolised him, I just told her the bad news and now she's sitting on the sofa behind me with a face like a January week, long and miserable.
