Re: Kidney stones throwing up other problems.
Hi guys. This is just to bring you bang up to date.
I was admitted into our local hospital on Tuesday (2nd May) morning and had the operation to repair my aneurysms on Tuesday afternoon (keyhole surgery). Because I was unfit for general anaesthesia I had to have a nerve block and epidural (I expect our lady contributors will be able to tell us all about epidurals!). The operation took about 3½ - 4hrs in all and I actually fell asleep and slept through most of it according to my consultant. Anyway, apart from some discomfort they let me come home late yesterday afternoon. To be honest, I couldn't have spent another night in there, it was so boring - no radio, no TV, no music player and no laptop or tablet to play with.
I got 9hrs sleep last night and I'm starting on the road to recovery but I still can't go out for another 10-14 days until the operative wounds have totally healed and I'm sure absolutely nothing is out of the ordinary.
As for the CV19 test I went for last Saturday, Val told me that someone phoned on Tuesday afternoon and asked to speak to me
She said to him, "Sorry, You can't, he's in hospital" "Oh, are you his wife?" "Yes, she said, "You can tell me and I'll pass the results on next time he calls." "OK, please tell him he's in the clear." Well, that's nice to know even if the results came through too late to help.
