Do You Hover When You Have Someone Doing Work In Your Home?

You are expecting a tradesperson to come into your home to do some work. So do you.....

1. Hover and watch their every move?
2. At intervals, do you peep through the crack in the door to spy on them?
3. Stay with them and harass them for the whole time?
4. Tell them how to do their job?
5. Talk incessantly because you’re lonely so they can’t get on with the work?
6. Dress scantily and make a pass at them?
7. Ask them for a discount if you pay cash?
8. Only come into the room if they summon you, or to offer them a beverage/biscuit/sandwich?
9. Just invite them in and let them get on with it?
10. Other?

As usual.. funny or serious replies welcome.

11. Offer them a cuppa and then charge them £2.50 for it?

Re: Do You Hover When You Have Someone Doing Work In Your Home?

These are the following trades persons or other services providers with whom
I interact when they are in my home. That includes chatting, offering tea, coffee, lunch, roast dinner etc.

My plumber - because he's a good friend anyway - and an excellent plumber as well!

Our gardener - Because he's very friendly, loves a chat and won't let you go anyway. Loves AFL and surfing so we have plenty to talk about.

Our computer guy - No worries about a chat. If you leave him alone he talks to himself non stop anyway.

All the others I leave alone unless they want me.

Heck. My time on earth is just as valuable as theirs. Plus they tend to have the cheek to plug their tools or computer into my electricity supply to charge them up. Bloody nerve!

Yeah...and use your toilet and use your precious toilet paper, plus your soap and water!
Their bill is going to be colossal!!

It’s a good job, the oxygen they breathe in your house is free!

What makes you think that it's free?
