I wouldn't go to Paris for shoes, apart from anything else Bangladesh or China is closer. I like my Dunlop KTX - they have nothing complicated such as laces I rarely wear anything else except thongs (flip flops to you)

$29.95 but often on special. They come in any colour you like as long as you like black.

I would be ashamed if either of my kids did that....I would wonder what I did wrong that they turned out so materialistic....just my opinion.

Re: Load of Cobblers

You wouldn't want to wear them outside at that price.....
I have paid quite a bit in the past for some decent running shoes, around £70 or £80 but my last few pair have been about £40 and lasted just as long as the expensive ones.

I've bought cars for less that the price of those shoes though....

Re: Load of Cobblers

I just don't get what's so special about them that makes them £1000.

Probably they are nothing 'special' at all, it's just what the manufacturers / sellers can get for them when others make them seem to be 'worth' that extortionate amount. Maybe also supply and demand makes them more of a 'rarity' so that increases what people will pay for them.

The name 'Chanel' Dex, and their rarity. I don't think there will be many about at that price. You certainly won't see any about in South Yorkshire....

True. In the temples of nothingness, nothing is worth something.

Have said it before, but when walking around places such as the Trafford Centre (the design of this also reminds one of religious buildings, with large dome roofs, gilt plasterwork ,
latin inscriptions and statues inside etc), one is automatically reminded of Temples. Apart from some food stores, there is nothing inside which one actually needs to survive. They truly are Temples of Nothingness, all paying homage to the god of money.

The same could be said about ladies handbags.
