Re: Air Balloon

Hi

I enjoy them, never felt threatened at all.

I also enjoy flying

Standing on the edge of a cliff terrifies me.

For example the Carribean, you could even learn these dances and even dress the same way

Is this Dominica ?
I lived there for over a year.

Would you go?
Yes! Been up and would love to go again - it is such a magical experience!

I think our festival has been cancelled this year - which is sad but inevitable.

Re: Air Balloon

We get quite a number flying over our village. I have never been in one, but if I ever got the opportunity would be quite happy try it out. My late uncle and his wife went up in one years ago, it crashed and his wife was quite badly hurt.

Re: Air Balloon

I always worry that that huge flame will set the balloon on fire and send the basket plummeting earthwards like the Hindenburg!

It does look quite a fierce flame.

Re: Air Balloon

Seeing these Balloon Festivals, different shapes and colours drifting across the sky, is something special.

Yes, Ballon and Aeroplane is not for everyone, if truth were known, I bet most feel apprehensive but put up with flying.

I like the idea of the Airbus making a return, and all it offers for travel.

Granted slower but, flying lower the views would be pretty spectacular.

I found it exhilarating or as Tabby said in her post above, a magical experience.

Muddy I took this photo of the flame in our balloon when we were well up in the 'heavens' - the flame roars, frightening for the first time you hear it as you don't know what to expect but you get used to it though.

It would brown your toast in no time!

Re: Air Balloon

I see them all the time when I'm down in Perth, there's a firm that you can book with and they take you up. I've stood and watched it going up and coming down and people seem to enjoy it, also see it floating over the house most days. But it's not for me.

Re: Air Balloon

We get lots of baloons over here, Chloe doesn't like the whooshing noise the burners make
