Agree. As an aside, think that many long term relationships and indeed marriages end up as non romantic friendships.

Men and women can definitely be friends, but the dynamic is different once you are married. Married folk definitely operate under unwritten rules for friendships with the opposite sex that make those friendships more distant. It's a shame, really, but probably for the best.

Half of the dearest friends I have are male, and have kept them for decades. Sometimes, the men seem to be the one to share my more intimate thoughts with, or dilemmas in everyday life. They tend to keep what I share to themselves and not use what I have said against me, or to their own benefit.

I love men...in the nicest, kindest way.
