I tried to run out of a shop, with a Telly, but the cord pulled me to a stop before I had gone 5 yards!

True story. Many years ago, 2 blokes wearing white lab coats walked into the pub where my brother was having a drink, unplugged the TV and walked out with it. Everyone, including the bar staff, thought they were TV repairmen so nobody challenged them. They weren't, and had just brazenly nicked it.
