Yes but when the ice cream van is playing it’s tune, it means he’s run out of ice cream.....my dad used to say that anyway...

Talking about tannoyed messages coming from vans, also heard the call of a tuneful "any old iron, any old iron" from a scrap metal collector earlier this week. Not heard this for a few months either (usually once every 2-3 weeks round here)

If you think there's not much of a cultural chasm between the UK and Oz try asking the ice cream man for a 99.They are not on the menu here.I think it's too complicated for them.
