It seems not all 'Aussie residents' are laid-back and easy-going!

"A man has been whipped by what he described as the "angriest octopus" while swimming on holiday at a Western Australian beach."

"In a video that has gone viral, the octopus can be seen in shallow waters lashing out at geologist Lance Karlson.

The creature came after him again later and struck him on the arm, before whipping his neck and upper back."

Yeah but we know how to handle sharks (ref: Mick Fanning and his biffo with the shark in SA) But they don't have 8 arms..

I think the Irukandji is the deadliest ocean creature on Earth with regard to how poisonous it is. Even though it's body size is only 1cm square.

The deadliest creature on Earth with regard to it's venom is a snake. the Taipan. The coastal and inland Taipans are both found in Northern Australia.
