Being short-sighted I can read tiny print easily. I never thought it would be a talent in such demand amongst friends and family.

I am extremely lucky with my optician.
She checked my eyes a few weeks ago, got my lenses changed, and even dropped my new glasses round to my house on her way home from work!

You can't beat that for excellent service.

Re: Old Age Can Be A Bummer.

Chuckle, just imagining Mags and Meg hiding behind bushes with telescopes!
I have to agree though, the sad thing is that I am unable to read the small printon anything anymore. This is especially annoying when trying to read such as terms and conditions etc.
The other thing that I find hard to accept after being so fit before now is the trek up the stairs. Near the top we have what they call the ''kill step'' a wide piece of stair, where the stairs then turns to the right for three more steps. These are the steps that almost do for me! they seem to be so much deeper than the rest. Flippin heck, I recall when I could fly up those same stairs. Sad.

(Kill Step - old house but I believe the name originates from when two people fighting with swords or whatever had the advantage if they were standing on this particular wider step to fight off their foe.)

But in my case l have come to the conclusion that a lot of my sight
problems are actually just short term memory loss?
I actually forget what l have just seen one second earlier??
Does that make sense?

Re: Old Age Can Be A Bummer.

My reading sight started going when l was in my mid 40’s and that’s not old!

My biggest error was in Argos one Christmas, where l ordered all the wrong toys for my children’s presents.
I couldn’t read the item numbers properly!
