I want the justice system to take into account not only to address offenses in an equitable manner but also to include a component to address the need to provide a disincentive where a sector of the population are behaving in a particularly atypical way which is patently obvious in BAME criminality.
That's not racist. That's ensuring that punishment fits both the crime and trends where they exist.

If that is the case, it demonstrates beyond any doubt that treating 'certain people' differently to the indigenous white population is a seriously flawed attitude.

And yes, I hope the perpetrator dies in hospital which would save us all a lot of trouble and expense. If he survives, he should be hanged.
I do believe that hanging will, eventually, be reinstated. Perhaps not in my lifetime, sadly, but eventually. Things just need to become a little worse, which I'm sure they will.

From what we hear it seems the police have paid the price of notfollowing basic procedures in arresting this guy ??
We can now see plainly the reasons for having these procedures?
Questions that will be asked,(l hope?) Will be,
Was he searched and handcuffed BEFORE putting him into the police
car?
If so,Why were they searching him again in the station yard?
How did he get access to the weapon if he was cuffed as required?
Etc! Etc!
I think police procedures will now be jacked up right across the
country after this?
