Flypast.

Hi

We have had an unexpected flypast earlier today.

I could not find anything about it, so did not comment.

My neighbours have also seen it, so feel more confident about posting.

A WW2 bomber with a Spitfire and Hurricane following and then another with flashing lights following, all piston engined with a propeller.

Very low level and a joy to see.

Hi

Yes, but could not find anything about it on the Internet.

It was not an RAF Shawbury thing, wrong direction, more a Prees to Cosford thing.

I may be wrong, but they do not usually change direction so much.

Whatever it was, it was a joy to see.

Re: Flypast.

I checked Cosford's website and there's nothing on there today.

Following from the NHS's 72nd birthday on July 5, members of the public can now nominate the names of people who offered essential support during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Re: Flypast.

We saw the spitfire pass overhead yesterday evening with NHS under the wing, doing a tour of a dozen or so hospitals from Yorkshire to Nottingham and back via Newark and Lincoln, a great sight at anytime though whatever the reason. Maybe the same thing down your way?

No. Shawbury is all heliocopeters now, or it was the last I heard.

Re: Flypast.

For a small donation of £10 to NHS Charities Together, names nominated to be handwritten on the plane as a' thank you' for their efforts in the last few months and beyond.
