6 Great Kitchen Tips!

Loved these tips. Especially the Garlic, Pepper and Potato tips. Hope they help. If I find any more, I will add them to the recipe section.

Re: 6 Great Kitchen Tips!

Very good tips SG I wonder if the egg trick works with quails eggs which are tricky to peel...

Re: 6 Great Kitchen Tips!

Not sure about that Meg, I appreciate quails eggs are supposed to be very delicate, (never had them sorry, so not sure). Could be worth putting just one in the jamjar and try the shaking method. It would be brilliant if it did work, because whenever I watch people on TV trying to delicately peel them, they look so hard to do. Have a go Meg, you only risk breaking one egg! and just think - if it works - how helpful it will always be for you.

I am still in wonder at those new potato skins simply peeling off in two halves!! When I think I had to peel all those potatoes on Sunday for my fussy boys, I could weep. Wish I had seen this tip prior to then.

Eggs and garlic a no-no for me, but was good to see the easy way to peel them! I'll pass that on to my daughter

Great way to do the potato - will definitely be doing that one!
