eccles, l must have my food hot and on a roasting hot plate!
I am not one to pause midway, stare into space for several minutes whilst my food goes down, then start again!

Food is to be savoured and enjoyed, not bolted back like it’s a task!

I also sit at the table for every meal and definitely, No television on! It was the same when my children were at home and the same too, when they come here now..
I tend to eat slowly too. I start the day with Shredded Wheat (2) usually followed by a piece of wholemeal toast and Marmalade, that fills me up for the day. I hate rushing food as it gives me indigestion!! Even at the weekend when we have our cooked treat such as a French stick baton filled with Sausage and/or Bacon, HWMO has long finished his before I have eaten half of mine.

Re: How do you.

I'm a fast eater, too, always have been.

Can't help it.

It's partly because I hate it when food cools, so I must eat it hot.
However, I eat cold foods fast too.

Once when I was on holiday, one of the ladies in the party referred to me as the gobbler, which I thought was rather rude.
I may eat fast, but I do it in a polite manner!
