We have a sky dish here but I don't subscribe to Sky, will I be able to get channel 81 ?

Slightly off-topic but if you have a SKY "feed" into your home and you get a FreeSat box, does that then just plug in the same as the SKY box?Not Tech-savvy these days!
We are looking into our new home but found the Broadband is - er - piffle, (2.2 - 6Mbps!) so we might dump SKY TV (hooray!) and upgrade the Broadband plus go for FreeSat, which we do not have to bloody pay through the nose for!
Our SKY "package" is costing us about £60 per month now (with Call Charges) but they want another £10 to get us up to 17Mbps Broadband there, (which we already have here!) so that means we'd have to pay about £70 per month, which is beyond a bloody joke!
With the TV Licence on top of that it's getting bloody silly!
I'm paying £21.50 for TV when there's often sod-all for us to watch so losing that will save us that £21.50 and we already know that the Broadband + 'Phone is linked so if we get rid of onbe we pay more but the doesn't seem to apply to the SKY+ TV. stevmk2
