Europe

So now we know who rules Europe. In the Mail today is a report that Germany ORDERS Britain to take more immigrants. When is the referendum?

Re: Europe

Germany rules Europe of course, Sure I knew that from the first day we joined it. The sooner the better you vote out and then we get a crack at voting ourselves out, we've all been conned.

Re: Europe

No thank you no more for us. It is getting out of hand.

France seems to have gone quiet at the moment or are they just not showing it on the news now.

If they did come over here I'd like to know where housing would be magically plucked from.

Re: Europe

It would be OK if all countries took some, we don't take as many as some have but we are not taking as few as others. This has to be addressed in the countries they are coming from and genuine asylum seekers helped to get to safety but economic migrants cannot be helped they have to go through the same immigration checks as anyone else wanting to come here.

Re: Europe

If all EU countries have a quota, that quota should be based on existing population density.

If that is the case, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have some catching up to do as England is already the second most overcrowded country in Europe.

Re: Europe

Statistics about population density don't tell the whole picture, though. (And why are the figures for just England included as well as the UK as a whole?).You can have vast swathes of empty countryside with no infrastructure, even uninhabitable areas, which would not make it any easier to take immigrants.
