Pied Wagtail on our bird bath. Taken through the double glazing at full zoom, with my point & shoot, so it's a bit fuzzy.

Black-winged stilt.

These elegant waders are now breeding in the UK, normally a continental species they are seen in increasing numbers and have bred after a 30 year gap.

These are from a breeding program from Pensthorpe in Norfolk. (home of Springwatch)

Osprey I saw in Florida...saw a pair of them here in Michigan last year, trying to build a nest on a cell phone tower but the company tore it down. Don't know where the birds went.

Such a shame the nest was removed, hopefully their second choice nest site had better luck.

Realspeed, a wonderful assortment of bird photos....when or if our weather ever breaks I want to go over to the small pond and watch for migrating birds that might rest there for awhile. It is only about 2 miles away. And the back deck here has a great view of the yard with many feeders kept full by my son...I see a birdy spring and summer ahead.
