My hubby prefers the Hurricanes, he says they did much more than the Spitfires in the Battle of Britain .....but the Spitfires get all the glory.

Speaking of Hurricanes.
I think the Hurricane was terrific but lost out in the looks department, the Spitfire was a beautiful looking plane.
The expected Hurricane this weekend is named Hurricane Rachel, or as my paper puts it on the front page ‘Prepare for Raging Rachel’ now that would scare me.
Johnny and the Hurricanes did it for me with ‘Red River Rock’ back in 1960.

Agree on looks, the Spitfire was, and still is, a beautiful looking aircraft. Of course they both make a lovely noise. Even if one girl I used to know got, for some reason, excited by the turbo whine of a Mustang. Must have been because it was a Packard Merlin!

Johnny and the Hurricanes used to wake me up with Reveille Rock...Allright you guys, rise and shine!
