You say ' is able' Solly, dont you mean 'will be prevented' from?
However the demand will still be there, unless EU goes without
fish? not so?
We will definitely have to increase our fishing fleet to cope
but surely that is what we are aiming at isnt it?
Maybe we can buy some of your soon to be defunct boats
to start with??

Re: Fishing Industry Berates Westminster

Hi

Simple fact of Life.

We where the only EU Country not to Register our Inshore Fleet and the only EU Country to sell our Fishing Quotas to the highest Bidder.

That is not the fault of the EU, it is the fault of our own stupid Politicians.

We were the only EU Country to allow unlimited Immigration when the EU was enlarged to take in Eastern Europe.

W are the only EU Country with a Benefits System which pays more than we get in.

We are the only EU Country not to recharge the full cost of Medical Care.

I want us to Leave so our Politicians can no longer blame the EU for their own stupidity.

Our boats, sailing under british flag, owned by dutch fishers, bringing fish to dutch processors. Dutch owned, no tariffs.
And if the owner cannot find british sailors, dutch manned. Even after (no deal) brexit.

The first thing they can no longer blame on the EU is leaving the EU.

Whats the point of the british flag then Solly? is it so the
british boats will think they are surrounded by british boats?
meantime you are stealing their fish??
Did you STEALor BUY the boats from us when you stole
our waters, it may be possible we dont have to pay for them
after all??

They register their boats in the UK so they can take grab the quotas allocated to the UK.

These boats never stay in a UK port - they return back to their countries.

Thats why I'm campaigning to get rid of the quota system and replace it with a "number of days at sea" method, complete with licensing that allows revenues to go back directly into coastal areas.

If any foreign vessel wants to fish out territorial waters it will have to pay a hefty premium for a license thats for sure.
