The only important cookies are those big chewy ones they sell in the bakers.

Re: Clearing Cookies

I run my browser with Privacy Settings set to Medium High. This:

Blocks third party cookies that do not have a compact privacy policy
Blocks third party cookies that save info that can be used to contact you without consent
Blocks first party cookies that save info that can be used to contact you without consent

I also run with JavaScript disabled all the time unless a specific website requires it (like online banking).

Finally after I visit any webpage and leave, I run:

Tools - Delete Browsing History

and I have every check box in that screen ticked except the "Preserve Favourites" box.

In addition there is a setting in the Internet Explorer settings to Automatically Delete Browsing History when the browser is closed. I have that enabled too.

In short then, if a website uses cookies, they last only for the time I am using that website and then they are immediately deleted.

Re: Clearing Cookies

I delete browsing history at least once a day and more if I spend a lot of time on the computer. It does mean that I frequently have to log back in to sone sites, including this one, but that does not concern me. I would rather have it cleared.

Re: Clearing Cookies

I've got a ritual before I go offline... check for updates for Malwarebytes, (which is a pain in the backside at the moment)

Then scan with it
Then Avast scan
Then CCleaner.

I set Firefox my browser to clear all cookies when it is shut down, so they are cleared several times a day without me having to remember anything.
