I believe interest is to be paid gross now and taxpayers will pay any tax owing at the end of the financial year.

My bank are offering 5% on a saving account to be lowered after one year to the best rate. Members only.

I have money to invest later in the year and may consider going elsewhere in the hope of getting a good rate.
