I AM SPARTACUSI am Spartacus and I fought the Roman world
Fighting injustice where my flag unfurled
I took the Romans by complete surprise
Stealing a victory before their very eyes
I crushed and destroyed them
Showing no mercy
But when the time came
Events turned down & dirty
They won in the end
Killing all of my men
In an orgy of death
It happened because
Of the Romans great wrath
For all claimed my own name
Over and over again
Saying…..I am Spartacus

the selection
of words which rhyme
most of the time
poetry doesn’t make
its a mistake
to think so
I don’t know
what defines this form
of expression
Just guessing.
a thought is taken
stirred ,not shaken
viewed from other ways
close minded never pays
couched in language rich
or simple, take your pick
