I'm afraid that paying down a gambler's debt for them will never ever solve the gambling addiction and in fact will likely exacerbate it.

The only real way to "cure" a person from gambling, is to expose that person to the scams and rigs that are in the gambling industry. Once a person actually sees that the system is rigged, that the players are crooked and that for ALL online gaming and gambling, the computers run the show, then they realise the stupidity of giving the crooks your money.

Until that point, mug punters still just don't get it, still somehow kid themselves that the system isn't rigged, that it couldn't be rigged because there would be uproar. They are deluded at this point, utterly deluded.

They are heavily monitored and have to abide by gaming laws.

Your post is inaccurate and misleading.
