Indeed, if you are correct (I simply don't know and am happy to take your word for it ), this would actually potentially produce wealth and income for the country rather than the expenditure of throwing taxpayer's money into the pot and watch it spin around before trying to gather as much of it as possible back up through taxation to throw back into the pot

It may well make us more independent in terms of energy resources and decrease (at least temporarily) the contentious issue of fracking from taking place.

Hi

The UK does not have an Independent Nuclear Deterrent.

We are entirely dependent upon the USA for the launch and delivery of the missiles.

France does a totally independent Nuclear Deterrent.
