What next?
In many cases -- money. Those hit must pay a ransom in order to get the shutdown removed. It's not being publicised for obvious reasons.

My theory is and as always been that the hackers are the ones that will sell you software to prevent it, they know how to attack and prevent.

With so much IT support being "off-shored" to places like Paki-land and India it is a racing certainty that there will be many leaks from such places.

I am covered for fraud I believe.
Pauline this was directed against Coop in Sweden.

I don’t think you need to worry about money you have in a Coop account in the UK.

The cyber attack only affected the cash register system which meant that no purchases could be tilled either at the manual tills or self scanning.
