My husband

Well had a nasty fright with him. In all the snow he was still working, on the Friday when here it was worst he saw a lady stuck in her car, so pulled over behind her put hazards on and made his way to her to see if he could help. They were both looking in her engine when a car came along completely out of control and hit her car trapping my husband between her car and his van.

Bizarrely Nathan happened to be walking past and saw it all if he hadn't been I'm not sure my husband would have survived as he knew to apply pressure and not try to move the vehicles before help arrived.

The fire brigade were fabulous and several of the men and women have been regular visitors in the hospital.

The ambulance and paramedics so fantastic they really deserve more than we give them.

The nurses and doctors and surgeons, I can't ever thank enough.

He's coming home later hopefully.

He's in a wheel chair and still in a lot of pain but they saved both his legs, there was a fear at first they couldn't do that, he's got bolts and wires and plates holding his pelvis together and his upper thighs.

The lady he was trying to help was concussed as he threw her out of the way and she bumped her head.

Looking at the wreckage she would have died if she had been in the car.

The driver of the car that hit them had only been driving for two weeks no experience in bad weather at all. But luckily only had a broken nose from the airbag.

So all survived thankfully.

I might not be around much once he's home bit of nursing and looking after him needed.

Re: My husband

wow Julie, what a nasty experience for your husband when he was 'doing a good deed' too .
You seem to live in a permanent state of 'disasters' I don't know how you cope with it all some days.

I hope your husband isn't in too much pain and gets better very soon.
