It has been confirmed that Anne Robinson will be the new host of C4's long running "quiz" show replacing Nick Hewer who, after 10years as the "quiz master", has decided he's had enough.

Oh good lord, no. Well I shan't be watching that again. She was awful on that other game things she fronted, wasn't she (can't recall the name now)...hang on...weakest link, that's it.

That would have been mine too, however, it's some consolation there are others on 'Countdown'
who more than make up for Anne Robinson. Had this not been the case then my days of watching this, since 1982 and the days of the late Richard Whiteley, would end.

I don’t mind Anne Robison.
It could’ve been worse, they could have chosen people like Jack Lemon, Gino D’Acampo or Bradley Walsh.

Robinson is a dreadful choice and her age means she can only be a stopgap. I was hoping they'd give it to Colin Murray permanently as I think he is very good and clearly loves the programme.

Countdown is a bit too 'Cranial' for me, whoever introduces it.....
