https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/

A further 11,625 confirmed cases in the UK were announced by the government on Tuesday.

That figure takes us back to February 13.

I agree Swim, lockdowns are doing more damage that covid is....

Well, it looks like England and Scotland aren't in any hurry to lift it, despite having next to no restrictions on movement relating to football

Edited to add - New Delta Plus variant found in India.

After July 19 there will be more emphasis on personal risk and responsibility.

In places like shops people may use personal judgment to wear masks, but in more tightly confined spaces, like the Tube, people may still be required to wear face coverings.

On the one hand:

Boris Johnson has warned of a “rough winter” with pressures on the NHS “for all sorts of reasons”, amid warnings from scientific advisers that the UK could see another surge of Covid.
On the other hand:

The prime minister, however, insisted “it’s looking good” for the government’s plan to end all remaining legal restrictions in England on 19 July – something Mr Johnson has referred to as the “terminus point”.
Best advice for UK citizens is "make hay while the sun still shines" .....

Mr Johnson told reporters on Monday: “You can never exclude that there will be some new disease, some new horror that was simply haven’t budgeted for, or accounted for.”
