Trolls can be extremely vindictive - just depends on the troll how far they'll take it.

I think you are right there WUMs I can easily ignore or even enjoy a bit of an argument with, but trolls deliberately hurt people in nasty personal way.

You are definitely a WUM not a troll

I do I can't see why they are not just called that too, calling them trolls makes them sound benign and rather cuddly when they are bullies pure and simple.

No, not always. Not all trolls will single a specific person out (which is, in my opinion, when the word bully would apply) for attention, it's to generally disrupt the entire thread.

i believe these people, like braggarts and liars have low self esteem.they need to draw attention to themselves.

I think that is looking at them too kindly, ones I have met on the internet was simply horrible people who enjoyed making others unhappy. TBH my self esteem has on occasion been rock bottom never made me want to hurt people.
