I had a pony myself when I was younger, and his breath was like warm hay, lovely. His nose and chin was like touching velvet and his whiskers tickled - alot nicer than some human's breath anyway.

After a serious accident involving a horse at age 13, I wouldn't be that near a horse anymore.
