Having said that, however, I do have mixed feelings about commercial businesses pushing their products via a sob scenario like the one depicted in this advert. Not sure whether I think it is thought provoking or whether I think it is just being schmaltzy.

I text my daughter about 10 minutes ago and asked her if it would be silly to let some balloons go in memory of my wedding anniversary (23rd Dec) and my husbands birthday (Christmas eve). Then I watched the advert Tears a plenty here

I like it although I rarely watch advertisements

It is a pleasant little story, quite quirky and should fulfil the intender purpose of reminding people of the name John Lewis and thinking of them in a positive manner.
