Thick as pig crap some folk and, if that young man considered his circumstances to be an emergency, then he should not be driving a car. It doesn't give his age, but I imagine he's very immature for his age, whatever his age may be.

People should indeed be fined for wasting police time, and the same goes for folk who call out ambulances and the fire brigade as a hoax.

Hill and mountain climbers who go climbing in bad weather and need helicopter assistance because of their own stupidity should be billed, and idiots out in rowing boats in inclement weather needing the RNLI to go and save their miserable lives should also be invoiced.

It's disgraceful.
