I loved reading about Robbie, and the photos of him are great.
I have a blackbird who comes everytime i open up the patio door, he lets me go right up to him and put out some sultanas which he loves, other blackbirds have now got wise to it,and i have about 6 who come down, but they are not as tame.Do you give Robbie dried mealworms, the robin who comes to my garden loves them.

Hello Patty, Yes Robby adores his dried meal worms also loves fruit cake.
I too have three blackbirds who become quite enraged if I am a few moments late feeding them at the crack of dawn.
It sounds as though we are both bird slaves Still it has it's rewards

Robby is doing well even though it's all frozen out there. He has several feeds of mealworms, seeds and soaked bread a day and he discovered the delights of a fat ball yesterday.
