I think the other surgeons say it all really.

Never going to happen.

When you think about it if a spinal cord is severed they cannot put it back together so how will they even address that issue ?

I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen in the future, at present it seems almost like science fiction but things which are common procedures today seemed like science fiction just a hundred years ago.

Your personality and you as a person is contained in your brain. We already have heart and lung and liver transplants.
If the rest of the body could be transplanted it would be a new body for the person that's all, they would be the same person.
