The shape of many coins are of the Reuleaux category, and not simply a "curvy" polygon.This means that, like a circle, they have a constant diameter which means that they'll alway fit a coin slot no matter which way you try to slide it in.
There are similar 3D polyhedra, which can act as thought they are spheres.
Art, I would make you sit through all of that (nad possibly more) so that you get a sense that at least you earned it
