Re: Dog owners who do not 'scoop the poop' !!!

I'm totally with you all on this one. Hubby and I ALWAYS clean up after our dog and I find it very hard to bend down and do it with my health but I always do.

Dog owners that don't make it bad for us that do. I always say there's dog lovers and dog owners. The dog lovers are the ones that always pick up whereas anyone can own a dog.

Love that, good for you

There's an article in the local paper for Carlisle this weekend saying that the Council are setting up a ‘hit squad’ to combat dog fouling and have had to force through amendments to their budget for this year which will enable them to put more staff on the streets to clean up dog mess and issue fixed-penalty notices to owners whose pets foul pavements and parks.

The amount spent on tackling fouling will more than double from £70,000 to £155,000. The extra £85,000 will pay for a hit squad to target areas where the problem is particularly bad.

Don't the people who are guilty of this realise that this is coming out of their council tax which I'm sure would be better spent elsewhere

By the way I stepped in some on Friday in the woods

We always clean up after Tobi ...we have a container on his collar with poop bags in it so no excuses ...I think they ought to rub the owners nose in it ...might teach them a lesson ....PS one day I will catch the late night walker who leaves it outside my front gates...

Re: Dog owners who do not 'scoop the poop' !!!

I remember a while back when I was leaving a friend's house, we were just in time to see a dog pooing outside his driveway, the dog owner's daughter was walking the dog and didn't have a bag on her so my friend said that's fine go and get one (she only lived around the corner) and I'll hold the dog for you!! So she came back with a bag and picked it up, I hope that taught her a lesson

As usual it's the irresponsible dog owners who spoil it for everyone else and it is normally these kind of people who's dogs are out of control or savage, no sense of responsibility at all! Morons all.

I agree with all that has been said. I always clean up after my dogs, it is part of being a dog owner. The problem with those that don't is catching them at it so you can report them or challenge them.
