Yes, it's much too soon to be putting your Christmas tree up. Best to hang back till about October.

He's American Bull Dog cross Staffordshire
I thought he looked slightly different to a normal staff but couldn't say why. American Bull dogs are also lovely dogs with a great temperament. I have to say, if you do have him, I'm a tiny bit envious.

Whenever I 'lose' a cat, I immediately start looking for another, preferably a rescue cat.

I am always devastated at the loss but this is something positive to do and adopting a rescue animal is helping the rescue centres.

Why not get two dogs?

Unless they come from same home I'd not recommend two rescues at one time, they need at least a year to settle and learn to trust again, after that you have more idea what their personality really is and whether another rescue is a good idea.

There's only one dog....the one in the photo.

He is still with a loving family.

Edit: I now understand...you were replying to Rachel.

I would consider two Staffs but, as you rightly say, only if they're from the same home.

Terry, I have something for you.
I love these words.

I hope it helps you decide. X

I would say, if it feels right, go get some more dog food in.

Terry, you know you are going to get him, you just want to have one of us to blame if he is hard work!

It will be good for you too, because you can take him for regular walks ( that was probably difficult with Henry's poor eyesight) and burn up a few calories yourself.

Often your dog becomes your best friend, so stop dithering and go and get him"

Not too soon at all . Another dog is never a replacement it's just another dog to love . A day without a dog is a day wasted as far as I'm concerned .
I have 4 and I never want to be without one .
