At last , the EU now has to take us seriously, those who sought to prevent our leaving have been laid to rest and we can move forward from 3 years of crippling stagnation.

It will be good if we can get a sensible trade agreement with the EU but if they want to play tough with the scary competition on their doorstep I hope we will have the strength of will to walk away next December. Ok that may mean a bit of extra paperwork but that didn't prevent us from trading with the Common Market countries before we joined and we didn't have the advantage of modern communications then.

I have no doubt there will be some difficulties but nothing we can't get used to or overcome.

I think now is a time for optimism and I just hope the yong who demand everything and want it now will be able to appreciate that eventually.

The first time in 10 years we have had a government with a big majority to make huge changes and 47 years since we did anything on our own without direction from Brussels.

Oh yes

Macron should concentrate on domestic issues.

Macron is out at the next election. He has been absolutely useless, all he cares about is his own career

All we need is a few spears to poke at the tunnel roof to let the water in

Re: We're free at last

We are NOT free yet in any sense. The suggestions that we are free are media programming to appease the angry masses who are sick of the establishment corruption trying to thwart BrExit.

What they are doing is duping people and tossing them a bone to go away with and nibble on in a corner.

Meanwhile nothing has changed.

We are still in the Single Market
Still under the control of the EU and ECJ

All that has happened is we have agreed to enter into a period of negoitiation for a proper WIthdrawal Deal.

But we have seen that for 3 years the EU has refused to offer us any real Withdrawal Deal so we would be very naive to think they will now.

WHat we will all see in the next 12 months is a total betrayal by the current parliament (whom we have voted in for 5 years with a huge majority).

They will now cede everything to the EU and deliver BRINO, BrExit In Name Only.

All we will have is a pretend exit from the EU for a few years and then they will formally being us back in again as if nothing had ever happened.

A very long way to go yet. The real battle has only just begun.

BrExiteers can not afford to sit back and think it's "job done"

It very much is not.

Remainers and corrupt politicians will continue to thwart the process will the same vigour as before. Don't be duped by media BS conditioning.
