Re: Lion Queen Poems
Here is something I wrote when David Bowie died.
I tried to incorporate many of his songs in this.
If you were a fan of David Bowie I think perhaps you may like this.
Now our Starman has gone
There is no more Sound & Vision
His time had come to Slip Away
Ashes to Ashes We Are Dead Now
But we are thankful he gave us all his Golden Years
His passing has made Changes to our music world
Because he was The Man Who Sold The World us
The Laughing Gnome, The Jean Genie and Aladdin Sane
He took us on a Fantastic Voyage
As he said Lets Dance in Suffragette City
He was a Rebel Rebel, almost committed Rock & Roll Suicide
Now he’s gone Like A Rocket Man
Did our Starman find Life On Mars?
Where Are We Now? We Are The Dead said Ziggy Stardust
And where are the Diamond Dogs? They’re Dancing Out in Space
One last time he calls to Major Tom
Where am I Major Tom?
I’m feeling very still
But I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit’s dead, there’s something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me Major Tom?
Can you hear me Major Tom,
Here am I floating round in my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is Blue
And there’s nothing I can do……….
David Bowie is now with other Heroes
To his fans he says “thank you for my Fame”
Don’t be feeling Sorrow
Don’t worry God Knows I’m Good
